Should I be concerned?

So 4 months after I installed my loop I took it apart to redo. This is what I see on the WB and a few of the barb fittings. Specifically on the barbs, should I be concern? or is that just the plating flaking off? I've been using distilled water and 2 drops of PT Nuke. No idea what caused the discoloration on the Rasa water block. While I'm at it, what do you use to 1. remove thermal paste at the bottom of the block and clean inside the block?

Did you flush your parts before final installation?

To clean it use hot distilled water and vinegar and to remove thermal paste use a q-tip and rubbing alcohol. To scrub the block I'd use a soft tooth brush or something of that sort.

Yes I flushed the radiator with rubbing alcohol then hot water; And I rinsed the water block with distilled water. I did not rinse the barbs though.

That might be the culprit. If you didn't run anything else in the loop besides distilled and pt I'd say it's bacteria from when you flushed the rad with boiled tap water and it grew. Flush with boiled distilled and vinegar.

+1 on the vinegar. Also, those are MASSIVE and terrible pictures, haha. Make them a little smaller and use your macro setting if your camera has it (flower icon as opposed to the mountain icon). :)
