My cousin has a HTPC that he is also using as his desktop in his bedroom. He has it hooked up via HDMI to his LCD TV and hooked up by DVI to his 22" LCD monitor. He'd like a program that would give him a easy quick-key shortcut to toggle his video card output as primary between the two displays.

Any software recommendation ideas?

Ultramon will allow you to toggle Primary by simply right clicking the tray icon and choosing a menu item, or:

Create 2 display profiles matching each screens hz/resolution etc.
Name them "Monitor Primary" and "TV Primary"
Goto "Options" and the tab "Hotkeys"
Goto the bottom of list and find "Add display profile"
Locate the profiles and give each a hotkey

You could also install Win7 beta. It has the Win+P shortcut that lets you quickly switch whether you want primary on monitor 1, 2, extend the desktop or clone the displays. Very handy and at least for me does exactly what I used UltraMon for.
