Sharepoint Help

Just been thrust into stupid Sharepoint I don't like working on it because I don't know it that well.

Any who quick question if I have

Scenerio
mysite.blah.com (Mysite+Personal mapping+ Enterprise Search)
and
teamsite.blah.com (teamsite + PWA)

Does the MySite Enterprise Search cover the Teamsite search functionality and vice a versa? Or Do I need to create a Search site for Team site as well (also should I be creating another type of search like FAST)?

I guess its kind of the answer. I am not getting any errors but I can see any issue I might have.

If you have externally available non public Teamsite (same as internal just SSL). Ie teamsite.blah.com but you don't allow mysite.blah.com (externally). Will I have issues since I would need to point the teamsite search to mysite.blah.com/sites/Search/pages (which is internal only) does sharepoint actually do it internally or do a complete redirection to the URL?

Right now I have NAT to the sharepoint site in the router I don't think I can also NAT mysite to the same address, I would need a proxy. I don't know if the host header will pull the right site up. I can try.
