at my mentor ship they gave a broke 21 inch CRT, sony triniton. I am not next to it so i forget the model name but the the number is gdm-500ps i belive when i get home i will state the model name., any way they said if you fix it you can have it, well i have never really fixed display problems but i took the 21 inch monitor just because.

there were 2 problems
1. the colors were all screwed up.
But i fixed that by repacing the cord, the old cord had busted pins and one end of the cord seemed damaged.

2. the screen shakes sparaticaly, this one i havent been able to fix yet, i tried for a little bit yesterday but then had to go to work.

the shakes are horizontaly on the top and bottom of the screen, not so much in the middle.



also i cant really get my window to fit on te screen its always to stretched out, i have 9200se video card. that i can prob take care of with a lil change of resolutions.
 
Do you have anything magnetic or electrical near your display? I noticed the same problem when I had my 22" CRT if my desk fan was on.

no this has been a problem since i have gotten the monitor and it has happened anywhere i set up the monitor.
