Congrats on switching. Let us know if you need any help getting going. Fold on, bro!DatHak512 said:SETI@home for me took anywhere from 80hrs on a win98 333mhz celly w/ mmx (w00t!) machine (GUI) to 2.8 - 3.0hrs on a P4 northwood in a Dell (command line client installed as a service). Up until about 48 hrs ago, i was still working for S@H, but i've been looking enviously at F@H for a while. I finally switched, and i'm glad i did. For SETI@home, i had turned in more work units than 99.6% of the people out there, with almost 10 years of CPU time, so it was a lot to leave behind for me, but as stated earlier in this thread, i (and others) feel a little bit better about letting our otherwise unused cycles go to research rather than SETI@home. And think of it this way: SETI@home is already the largest distributed computing program in history. Why not join the underdog, FoldingAtHome, and fight the good fight? If you still are curious about S@H, i can tell you a more about what kind of performance to expect. Anyway, have a look around here, and hopefully you'll join and help us beat those Australians.... but no pressure.

This machine is folding for the tsunami families that lost their loved ones. I have some relatives and friends that live in that region.
