Hey guys, I asked earlier if I could/should mod a CD-ROM to act as a little motor for little tasks like lifting and dropping control panels, and someone suggested I use Servo motors. So with a quick search I came up with this. Is that something I could use? If it is something I could use, how could I program it to go down say, 4" then go up 4"?

Any help would be appreciated.
