I have a supermicro X7DCL 1U based server with the following chassis CSE-813MTQ-350CB. The 1u case only has space for 1 riser card
I currently have a flexible PCI riser for some weather monitoring hardware. However, it is a full height card, and it extends above the IPMI slot. The IPMI card is too tall to fit with the pci card installed. The IPMI card is longer than a standard PCI-E 16x slot.
Does anyone know of an angled adapter that would work for the IPMI card? My only other alternative to make use of all the hardware is to move everything into a 4U case (which I don't have), get another power supply, and more coolers and some mounting brackets. Alternatively, I can just forget the IPMI card and deal with having to plug in a keyboard & monitor to it like I have for the last couple years (which is getting freaking old and im getting sick of RDP).
