OK, I didn't know where else to put this, so I decided to put it here since I'm doing some mild overclocking.
I got off from work today and fired up my PC. I opened a browser window and the display died on me. I powered it down and walked away. I came back and powered it on...everything seemed fine.
I played a few minutes of Simpsons: Hit and Run, a game of High Heat 2004, and then I fired up DOOM3. I played it for maybe a half hour and my display died again. This time I had a game open so I continued to play with no display, but there were no sounds, so I was able to tell that it wasn't just the display that had died. This happened a couple more times.
I had my 6800GT running at 396 core, 1000 mem. I have a watercooled Athlon XP 2600+ running at about 2.1 GHz. I pulled the core on the GT back to 350 and it happened again, this time while High Heat was running.
Any ideas on a possible problem? My instinct says it's a video card problem, but I pray to God that isn't it. Please tell me it might be something else.
