Read it on slashdot.org, this might be the solution to all those broken DC in jacks that break on all non-apple laptops over time. Finally, something that can be done besides micro-solder!
I like the idea but it will die very quickly. There is no money in making durable goods. If there is no money then there is not profit. No profit means no jobs no demand etc.
