seeking information on an online article

Not sure if this is the right forum to ask this question or now, i am a moderator on a game site forum and trying give some help on hardware performance, there was an article, "not sure if it was on hardocp or linked from here" but it the article showed a comparison of what happens when you upgrade from a cpu aspect in games vs upgrading the gpu in your system, kinda of broke down "going from like 1.3ghz to 2.0ghz netted only a 6% increase in performance, but going from the 8500 to 9700 in the same 1.3ghz netted 55% , not a quote or anything but hopefully someone here will remember that article, if you do and have a link i would be VERY appreciative, thanks in advance

Shit... I do remember that one...

Was either here or anadtech. Was a few years ago. I will see what I can dig up.
