Currently my setup is:
i7 920 OC to 4GHz
EVGA x58 SLi LE
HD4890 OC to 1GHz
3GB 1600 GSkill (@1610)
CPU+NB+GPU are watercooled.
Right now, my MCR220 just can't keep up when I add an i7 mobo/cpu. So, I have just ordered an MCR320 to add into my loop. Here's my question: What's the best order to put the rads in? I was thinking:
->mcr220-mcr320-Res-Pump-CPU-NB-GPU->
or
->Res-Pump-CPU-NB-mcr320-GPU-mcr220
What do you think?
And one more quick question: I want to mount the 320 inside my case for aesthetic reasons, although it gets warm inside my case. Not hot, but warm. How much of an effect will this have on cooling? Basically, the mcr220 sits on the outside of two 120mm fan holes and then blows the air into the case and the front 120mm fan exhausts it. The fans are rated ~ 60CFM so airflow is decent, not stagnant. Will this have a big performance impact if the rad is situated in warmer ambients? (I would think so?)
