I have always owned a plantronics GameCom 1 but my second pair broke. I really would like to find a set of headphones equal to these in comfort, quality, & price..I tried looking for them online but they dont seem to be sold anywhere anymore, including newegg. .Any suggestions?
 
I personally avoid headsets at all costs (I much prefer headphones with a seperate mic,) but you asked for a headset, so the headset I recommend is Logitech G35. Great Headset for any use. If you search around, you can usually find them going for $50-$60.
 
What about the steelseries 4H 3.5mm Connector Circumaural Headset? Looking to spend around 30-40 only...Headset just needs to sound as good as my old one & fit comfortably. I believe my old set was only 20-30 bux...The logitech is too pricey...95
 
Which turtlebeach? I havent had any issues with the plantronics headset one I owned..It was really cheap (20$ maybe) but my nephew kept getting out of the chair without taking the headset off and pulled the wire one too many times & dropped it too many times...
 
Whichever one you can afford. The headphones I linked to are superior to any headset under $100.
 
Space why are they so superior? And is there a way to attach the mic to the headset so its not just sitting at the desk?

Basically, a decent pair of stereo headphones and a separate mic are a better bang for you buck than a gaming headset. You can get a clip on mic like the zalman on amazon that simply clips to the headphone cable. However, the desktop mics tend to be an improvement on either that or the mics on gaming headsets.

Trust me, I am EXPERIENCED beyond belief in this area.

They're pretty comfortable and sound fantastic. More than that though, their warranty process is the best I've ever used. If you have a problem, they send you a brand new headset first, and then ask for the defective one.

Actually, I'm sure your GameCon 1's are out of warranty, but I bet you they would help you out if you told them about the situation.
