well i've found a nice case for my friends computer, tight budget.

Antec Case

i like the case, it comes with good powersupply, but he really likes windows, and he isnt confident in his abilities to cut a window and he lives about 1700 miles away from me, so im hoping someone knows of a place that sells sidecase for this case, or a case that has nice look to it, trying to stay under 110 bucks

there are only about 60,000 cases there that fit that... can you give me some specifics? color? mobo compatiblity? do you want built-in cooling when you get it?

120mm fan, i like the rubber hard drive screws to reduce vibration. needs nice window, nothing special done to it. i dont care if its a premod, but i dont want it to be so pre-modded it looks gay. sidefans are a downer to me, but i can work with them.

and i was hoping there were antec specific case sides, so he could buy a windowed side panel.

thanks guys

things highly favored;

120mm fan
good psu
cheap
rubber things to seperate hard drive from metal to reduce noise
i really hate front audio and front firewire, front usb is good though.

so the case i linked to before is perfect, but no windows.. so im looking for a side panel that will fit that case, that has a window, or like honeycome (sp?)

thanks all

if you want a window on that box, you're gonna be buying plexi. that thing is somewhere between plain and ugly, and was meant to do time in a dilbert-style office.

lian li makes cases that are high quality, very plain looking, and don't cost nearly the earth (just the continent of north america).

what i think will work well for you is a frozen lian-li pc-626. this case was modded by frozencpu to add a side window to it.

here's a quick link, gotta go to class.

suggestion retracted.

::me st00pid, you g33k::

try this one, it's $30. it's not that pretty, but it'll do quite well. and apparently you can't get a 120mm fan for less than $50.

here is one for $50 that has a 120mm fan. it's not that great in some other respects, such as having the "front" i/o ports on the side where they are usually harder to get to, but its rear exhaust is a 120mm fan, and there is space for a 2nd one in front of the drive cage. it also has an 80mm side fan...

...if you want to plug that fan hole in the side, frozencpu sells a cover intended for their c3 acrylic cases' blowholes, but the blowholes are 80mm so it will fit. besides, it's cheaper than an actual fan at $4. http://www.frozencpu.com/cgi-bin/frozencpu/c3p-36.html
