I'll use this thread as an example --> http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1211782

If I go to the FS/FT forum and click the "search forum" box and put in "8800" the thread above does not show up but it does have the text "8800" in it. However if I put in "8800GTS" it does show up. To me this makes no sense. The search item "8800" is still there but why didn't the thread show up. Do the search engine the [H] now uses only look at whole words?
 
You probably need to go to advanced search and limit the area on which it is searching through. The search at the top is going to search all forum sections, even if in X sections I do believe.
