SCSI = no video?

I've got an Abit AV8, 939 3000+, BFG 5700U, and an old Adaptec AHA-2940UW SCSI controller. If the SCSI controller is plugged in to the PCI slot, I get no video. As in, I turn on the machine, and the VGA bios never shows, my mobo bios never shows, and the system proceeds to boot (I think).

Why?

Nevermind! For some odd reason, my computer hates having the SCSI card in the middle PCI slot. I switched my WiFi card and my SCSI card and now everything's great.
