Yes, that's right... screws.

Anyone know the specs/number/type/thread of screw used to mount a hard drive (or optical drive) to a cage?

I am away from home for a bit, and wanted to have a friend pick some up for when I get home, and he is, well, not smart. If I don't provide specific info, I'll probably get a box of 500 wood screws.

Oh, one other thing... I need them to be slightly longer than the "typical" mounting hardware.

Any help = most appreciated.

Optical Drive screws have a finer thread.

5 mm long M3x0.5 (3 millimeter wire with a 0.5 mm thread pitch) machine screws

Thanks for the info... damn optical drives, thinking they're special...

..and Arcygenical, please feel free to provide help that fast again in the future! ;)

Worklog will be starting in the next month or so, once my design is finalized.
