Running a dual monitor setup, every so often (just recently) the screens will both blink to black for about a half second then go back to normal. I installed hwmonitor and the geforce 7900gt is running at ~155 degrees doing nothing but web browsing, so I figure the GPU is overheated and causing my issues.
Until today. Trying to play music and whatnot inside a web browser will just randomly lock up and then the browser won't work until it is closed and re-opened. I have no proof that the two are correlated, but they both started pretty much the same time. Have I misdiagnosed my problem as overheating and need to look elsewhere, perhaps software related?
