Scaling help with wii

I'm considering buying a 30" monitor right now, but have one issue. What would happen if I connected my wii through the vga cable to a vga to dvi adapter to the monitor? I don't think any of the 30" monitors have internal scalers, so that is a big issue for me. Would I have to purchase an external scaler? If so, what is a good cheap solution? I can use either component or vga output for my wii.

The answer is depending on the 30" monitor you're buying. I don't see any issue, if the 30" monitor has component input.

all the 30" monitors out atm only have dvi is the problem.

maybe get a tuner card for your PC and input it that way?

i wouldn't recommend the tuner card.i have an all-in-wonder 9800 pro and there is huge input lag and low quality feed when I hook up my 360 to my comp. honestly its not the best way to go.

Yea, i hear capture cards aren't very good for consoles due to low quality output and input lag. Any other suggestions?
