I just ordered the MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum S939 board. I want to get a SATA drive to use as my boot drive and use my 2 current IDE drives at the same time. How will the motherboard know which drive to use as the boot drive? Is there any option in the BIOS that will need to be set?
 
If its a modern bios (and I'm sure it is) you will be able to select the boot devices and/or controllers (SATA vs IDE). Its that way with my DFI board and even with my old k62 with add-on raid card, the bios gives options for which drive to boot from first.
