I just bought a Samsung 120GB Sata HD SP1213C and i have enabled Sata on my mobo MSI 865PE Neo2-P and when i booted Windows It recognized the disk and the drivers but when i went to check on it in My computer the drive wasn't there  I checked Device Manager and i shows up there and the controllers and drivers and it says they are working properly. I have looked throught the fourms and the skicky and i have found nothing that has helped my out. I wonder if when installing windows it want't to know if i need to install a SCSI or Raid card if i need to do that ( the sata connection are onboard). Please help and Thanks in advance.

I almost forgot to put that i am also running a WD 40GB with windows on it and it is IDE

This has been covered plenty of times before. Only logical volumes show up in My Computer or Exploder. New drives don't have logical volumes because there aren't any formatted partitions to mount, they're fresh from the factory and full of zeros. Hence they'll appear in Device Mgr but not be useable. Fire up Computer Managment -> Disk Manager, then right click on the drive and tell it to create a partition, during the process Windows will want you to format it, do so. After this is complete it will show up in My Computer and Exploder.
