sata or ide ata100?

Howdy,

I'm looking to buy a seagate barracuda 7200.8 300GB Harddrive as part of a custom build on NCIX.com ( http://secure.ncix.com/pcbuilder/index.php?action=config&id=2274183&platformid=1000 ),
and am unsure what the difference is between SATA W/NCQ and IDE ATA100.

I'm going to get an ASUS A8N SLI Deluxe MB and using an AMD processor if that matters.

Which one should I get and why?

sata is the newer interface. Its nicer for cabling, offers hot-swapping and a host of other features IDE ata/100 drives do not.

Get the sata, read the sticky, and you should be set.
