SATA Locks?

How important are they? I go my two storage SATA drives on channel 3/4 (Read that these are locked on the K8N Neo2 Plat) but am planning to get two more SATA drives, which will be raptors and running applications. Would it be dangerous to run them on the 1/2 channel or should I swap them to the 3/4 and run the storage on 1/2?

Im currently only slightly OC'd (AMD64 (939) 3000 @ 2.2).
 
running oc'd using SATA 1/2 can cause one of two things from what ive researched(I did pretty thorough research as i just bought this board and having to plug the drives in over the agp slot really pissed me off).

1) Hard-Drive Data Corruption
2) Kill WD Raptors (others could be effected this is the only one ive seen)
 
The relevant part of your overclock is your HTT speed. So I assume you have about a 244fsb, which really is more than a slight overclock. If you had a 3200+ and did 220x10=2200, then that'd be a lot different. Its the HTT that matters.

If I know what I'm doing, which I'm not sure of, then a 244 FSB would give you a PCI at 40mhz. I don't have experience overclocking the PCI so I'm not sure what it could take.... that might be doable, but its not insignificant.

You could put your current SATA drive(s) on slots 1/2 now to test whether or not they can take it. Personally I wouldn't reccomend it, when it comes to data integrity.

Your other option would be to buy a PCI SATA card.
