I am having the same problem, but the first time around I pressed F6 at the front of the windows install and inserted the SATA drivers disk my motherboard came with. Windows then finds the SATA drivers and recognizes your drive and allows you to format and install like usual. Hope this helps
yes you do. take the sata drivers off the CD with anohter computer, put them on a floppy with EVERYTHING(cept exutables) from the sata driver directory. press F6 when windows asks you too, put the disk in, and you will be able to install on it
