SATA Express question

Okay so I have a motherboard that support SATA Express. I recently just bought a SSD and have it hooked up to a SATA 6 port. So can I hook it up to the SATA Express and what and where do I get the cable? I have looked on Amazon and Newegg but the cables dont look like they will plug into my SSD.

I think you can plug the sata connector to the sata express without an adapter however there is no benefit (other than freeing up a port you can use for other devices).

There aren't any drives that use it that I'm aware. Pretty much any SSD you buy will be SATA3/6 and use a standard SATA cable. You can use that as a normal SATA ports (ie: connect two drives).

Thanks now it makes sense, it seems according to the article you posted that SATA Express was DOA.

I am not even sure why manufacturers waste board space with these connectors.
