So I finally got my New PC hooked up. Its working except for the bios reading my hard drives and Cd player as IDE devices...

The Build

DFI "LANPARTY 925X-T2" 925X Chipset Motherboard For Intel LGA 775 CPU -RETAIL
BFG GeForce 6800 GT OC 256MB DDR3/PCI-E/TV-Out/DVI (Retail Box)
Creative Labs Sound Blaster Audigy2 ZS GAMER Limited Edition PCI Sound Card, Model "SB0350" -RETAIL
Intel LGA775 Pentium 4 550 3.4 GHz, 800MHz FSB, 1MB L2 Cache, Hyper Threading Technology - Retail
Plextor 16X Dual Layer DVD+/-RW SATA Drive, Model PX-716SA/SW, Retail
Maxtor Ultra Series Kit 200GB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive, Model L01M200, Retail 2x

I have the hard drives connected to sata ports 1 and 3 and the player to 2. I tried switching the the CD to number 3 but no difference. BIOS says their all IDE drives. Tried going through Bios settings pertaining to IDE and Sata drives and couldn't get anything.

does it matter as long as they work right

iam assuming you have connected them to the sata ports on the northbridge, they appear as ide because there native SATA ports hence windows can access them without an SATA driver (unless your raiding). Also my seagates appear as ide on the northbridge but as sata on the silicon image 3114 chip. Cant speak about the 3132 as it supports atapi fully.
