Hey I`m looking for a sata controller card since my mobo doesn't have one onboard. I`m looking for the best for ~$50 or less, it doesn't need to have RAID; just so I can hookup 1 or 2 internal drives.

What does everyone reccomend?

The purpose is so that I can run my OS and Programs off the SATA drive and use my PATA 250gb drive as storage.
 
I don't know about being the best, but i've been happy with both Promise (SATA TX2+) and Highpoint (RocketRAID 1540) that i've used. For a single drive setup w/o RAID, I don't really think you can go wrong
