First of all what are the advantages of using a SATA HD over a regular HD?

and does anyone know a good place to upload images and videos for hosting?

The only real advantage of a SATA over a PATA (older IDE) is the small cable which is more aerodynamic for better cooling around the cable. It has a little more available bandwidth, 150MB/sec whereas PATA topped out at 133MB/sec, but harddrives themselves cant saturate the bus so theres not really any speed avantage there.

For image hosting I know some people use thisforumisdown.com, and some others here have setup image uploaders but for video you probably need true webhosting due to bandwidth usage.
