Sapphire 9600 pro problem

I recently purchased a Sapphire 9600 pro, installed it, and loaded the drivers. While I was doing some stuff on the computer, the monitor randomly powered off. I rebooted, but again, the monitor powered off. I needed to reformat my hard drive in the first place, so I thought to myself "Hey, maybe if I reformat it will get rid of some conflict causing the problem." I was wrong. After I reinstalled the drivers and was setting up my newly reinstalled windows XP, the monitor powered off again.

The monitor is the only thing that turns off. The fans still run and the machine still runs, but the monitor acts as if it isn't recognized.

If anybody can help me find out what is going wrong it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
