I just recieved some new PC3500 Corsair XMS memory, and have been very excited to start playing around with it. Well as we speak im in windows at 230 Mhz FSB Sync. Anyway, in my giddyness I ran Sandra only to see that im barely getting pc2700 marks. WHATS UP WITH THIS?? Is sandra screwing up, or is my RAM really only producing that much bandwidth?

hey, glad to see you got the ram. on my machine, at about 460mhz, 2-3-2-5 timings, it did 3300-3400mb/s, which is about right. Keep in mind, make sure that you are not looking at pc2700 in dual channel. That happens to me a lot. In fact, if you are looking at Nforce 2 chipset, it is probably showing you "2x pc2700". I bet $100 thats your problem. Buy another one, and you will be pushin 6gb/s!

btw, can you leave positive heat under computerpro3? I just left positive with you.

Well, i fixed my own issue, i dont know if Sanrda has issues with underclocked processors and memory bandwidth, but I had my proc underclocked in order to find out max FSB and so then i o/ced my proc again and I get 3300 mb/s, yay! :)
