is it worth it or should I hold out a few more weeks and hope M4's go on sale again ?

[aShrubbery!]

I doubt that you will any substantial difference between the M4 and the Sandisk Extreme.

Also, I have read about some quirks pertaining to the M4.

I bought the Sandisk Extreme, and I am very satisfied with it.
