After having problems with Hyundai W241D i bought me a new Samsung XL2370HD. Im having much trouble figuring out the right settings. The colors seem very dull. Can someone please write down the settings for a certain PC-LCD connection (VGA-VGA, DVI-DVI, HDMI-HDMI etc.).

Also, if i use DVI-DVI connection, the picture is not stretched to the edges of the LCD (2.5cm on left/right and 2cm on up/down). On the OSD menu there is no resizing option. What can i do ?

If i use HDMI-HDMI connection, the picture is plain ugly (fuzzy, grainy).

Im starting to think i made a mistake buying this LCD. Can someone please prove me wrong.

Thanks

What is your video card?

Check that the resolution is indeed set at 1920x1080@60hz in both cases.

Check and adjust overscan/underscan options.

In the monitor OSD (monitor menu) make sure settings are for PC, DVI, Digital where available and applicable.

Adjust scaling, overscan/underscan, options in monitor OSD.

The resolution is set to native 1920x1080@60Hz.

What is overscan/underscan and where can i adjust it ?

In the OSD settings are DVI - DVI PC & HDMI - DVI PC.
