Hi,

I just got myself a promise Sx4-M controller the other day and two more SP1614C's. I have added all four into a nice RAID-5 array. I noticed that my older drives use Firmware -25, the newer ones Firmware -34.

After starting to move some of my data onto that array, I came to see a little popup window... over time, some more errors were shown:
Code:

I was wondering:
  1. Is that drive dieing?
  2. If not 1. then is it a bad sector?
  3. if 2 do I need to mark it?
  4. if 3 how do I do this?
