Anyone have any experience with samsungs RMA? My monitor is dying and its still under warranty but i dont think i have the receipt for it anymore. They dont seem to have an online RMA setup like other companies do i have to call them or is it buried on the site?

A few years ago I had to RMA my monitor. If I remember correctly, they didn't ask for a receipt, just when it was purchased and a serial number. I only had the monitor for a couple of months though, and it was a newly released model so that could be why too.

I called them and it took a couple of calls and some pictures to convince them the stand was defective, otherwise they quickly cross shipped me a new monitor and shipping label all on their dime.

i just received t240 replacement,
funny thing is, the replacement was refurblished instead of new.
i called them up and asked why i was given a refurblished one.
they said after 90 days, theres no way the part can be replaced with new.
huh, some warrranty they have

Kinda sad to hear about poor service from Samsung.... I generally like the picture quality of their displays more than other brands. Colors seems better and pictures crisper.

I was actually thinking of buying a Samsung LCD TV at some point but am not so sure about it now.

On the other hand, my old 19" Sceptre LCD monitor is supposed to have a Samsung LCD in it.... whole reason why I bought it. Still works like new and has even traveled cross country multiple times.

just wasnt expecting this from the company as big as samsung.
ive recently rmaed qx9650 and wd 1tb drive. both were like a year old.
with wb's advanced rma, i received the new drive via 2nd day shipping.
pretty much the same thing with the intel, was given a new qx9650 (new stepping)
via 2nd day shipping.

was i an idiot for thinkg that the replacement would be new?

im just gonna test it out to make sure everything works,
then sell it off. im not even sure what this refurbished one
is worth. any ideas?

Many vendors ship out refurbished or recertified hardware for RMAs. For example, hard drives.

Samsung is a very large, vertically-integrated company with huge sales and revenues. You, as a consumer, are pretty low priority. What did you expect?

what did i expect? new replacement???
even if it is not the new replacement, i certainly wasnt
expecting refurbished one with the scratch all over it, not to
mention they forgot to send me the remote + power cord that
i originally sent....
