Firstly there is a thread on it, but seeing as im new, i dont want to risk bumping an old thread. Theres also a great review on it on blogspot, but i cant contact the author, but i know he's from here.

My question is, does anybody have the best settings for it? The red seems too much, and the motion blur can make some games look really bad. Also, the black levels are set too deep on default which crushes a lot of darker details or even worse, makes the whole image too dark.

Would help loads, thanks in advance.

Hey, I bought the F2380 a couple of days ago and have been trying to fix it's downsides since. It can produce a stunning image quality for its price if you can live with its faults. Firstly; the ghosting from the response time will always be like that as it's inherent of the panel technology. You will notice it more in darker films/games which has a lower contrast. High contrast media will look a lot better in terms of motion blur. The black crush will also always make the lower greys slightly uneven across the screen even after it's been calibrated.

As for the settings on the OSD I use 37 in brightness and 83 in contrast (the contrast does very little to affect the shadow details, so it can be quite high). This produces a balanced picture that still pack a strong punch. To bring out the shadow details and ease the black crush you need to use a program that lets you change the gamma curve of the picture. I used Rivatuner to do this and it worked okay. Make it so that the lower part of the curve is slightly pronounced upwards to give the lower greys a brighter shade. Be careful as you do this as you can easily destroy the image quality by making the lower greys unbalanced. Use a reference photo that has a lot of shadow detail and change the gamma until you're satisfied.

As for the red you need to change the color tone from "warm" to "normal". That helped it for me at least.

Once calibrated the screen is really nice. Most impressively the blacks are almost as dark as the surrounding bezel and the contrast is simply spectacular.

I currently use Prad.de settings. It looks great, but I will properly calibrate it my self once I get my Eye one Display 2. I recomend you do the same. Copy pasting settings isn't highly recomended, they are still better than the presets and give you an idea of color accuracy.

Set the response time to fastest, streaking rarely arises that way.

From Prad.de

"The colour settings had to be corrected somewhat in the OSD. We used the3 following settings for calibration to the sRGB standard: Gamma level 2, contrast 75, brightness 49, R=56, G=40, B=35."
