Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I just got one but my Marvell controller doesn't let me hit the max speed of what this ssd is capable of and was wondering if anyone knows a cheap sata 3 card i can pick up from either newegg or amazon thanks.
Most "cheap sata 3 cards" will have a controller not any better than a Marvell controller. That said, based on my limited experience benchmarking with Sata II cards, if I had to try a cheaper sata III card right now, I'd go with a Highpoint over Syba or Rosewill.
You're probably better off just using the Intel SATA 3Gb ports instead - it'll limit the max sequential speed but the real benefit from SSDs is the random performance, and the SATA 3Gb ports won't limit that at all (and will be better than the Marvell ones).
