Hey all,
I have a Samsung 830 256 SSD that is getting low IOPS. Overall it just feels sluggish as well (for an SSD).
Here is a screen shot of what I just got:
My sequential read/ write normally hovers around the advertised spec. Though as you can see it does dip at times. I can't seem to find a reason for these actions.
My main concern is the IOPS reads which are way below what they should be. The IOPS writes as well, but they aren't nearly as bad.
My system is AMD based and the mobo is the GIGABYTE GA-880GMA-UD2H.
AHCI, sata 6 and trim are all enabled.
I was on the phone with Samsung and they were saying that on a AMD chipset that those figures were normal. I understand that not every configuration will get advertised specs, but less then half is pushing it.
Any insight would be great.
