I'm Dave, kinda new to these forums - seems like an awesome forum. Lots of people wanting to help each other, I think thats great.
I'm looking at buying a Samsung 204b monitor, I've read a review posted by "Budwise" in that review, Budwise was saying what a good monitor it was. And I very well written review it was too
I've noticed that on the web (not just on these forums) people have been complaining that to the top half of the screen is darker than the bottom, while others say it isnt an issue. One review I read somewhere on the net said that there are two versions of this monitor. One is sold as a 20" - made in Mexico, while the other is sold as a 20.1" and is made in China. Apparently the 20.1" edition (Made in china) is better overall quality, and has a more evenly lit panel - which lead me to think that perhaps the people that are not complaining of an uneven backlight got the 20.1" with what is said to have a more evenly lit panel.
If anyone has this monitor it would be great if they could post where the monitor was made (if its written on the monitor somewhere) and what the backlight of the panel is like. That way we can all see if all of what I've just said is a complete load of nonsense and I've just let my imagination run a bit too far
