ok .

actually I have several questions
(assume that I'm using BBA and an artic silencer ver.3 in all questions)

first why does my device manager only say 9600 series when its a PRO or XT?

1. I wanna bios flash/overclock my aiw 9600 pro to ? . I know bios flashing might not be an option if so what numbers work good ?

2. 9600xt ? same question.

3. 9800 pro ? same question.

I've seen some guides around but only 9500 to 9700 or 9800pro to xt. but some them seem vague.I once found a list of what bios flashes to what but I lost it.

It just says 9600 series because that's how the display driver references to the card. I'm not sure why it isn't more specific, but that's what ati's drivers have always said. My 9700 and X850 always said the same thing too.

You can't flash a 9600 to anything, especially an aiw version. Just overclock with ati tool / rivatuner/ powerstrip / whatever program you prefer.
