Is it ok to put a Visiontek Radeon 2600xt 512mb card into a dell inspiron that only has a 350w psu? The card recommends 400, but am wondering if it will still be fine with only 350. The inspiron 530 has only 1 250gb hd, and 3 gigs of ram. Its a Q6600 as well.

thanks

I don't know if this helps but I know one person once said that the power supplies in Dell computers are underated. So, it may actually be a 400 watt.

I wouldn't go for it though, simply because of the heat. If you get a corsair 520 watt PSU for example, you wouldn't be heating up your room with the computer.
