Ok, I have a Asus P4S8X-X mobo and it says it supports up to PC2700 ram. Heres this sitch, I have PC2100 in there right now and my OC is only going up to 2.8 (up from a 2.4a). Heat is not the issue as it is maxking out at about 45-50C under load. (supposadly its supposed to get up to 70C before the P4 will start downclocking to save itself from frying). I tried adding a few tenths of a volt and my OC didnt change.

I'm guessing this is because of my crappily cheap PC2100 generic ram I have in there. 3-4-4-8 (I believe) are the timings. My question is this, am I limmited to getting PC2700 as the mobo manual says is the highest rated for this mobo ro can I get like PC3500 and it will work (and OC well) in this mobo? BTW the mobo is running in asynchronous mode.

Thanks for your time reading this novella. ;)

P4S8X - this is a Sis board? If so/not, what chipset? No, you are not limited to PC2700(?) RAM, however, your current PC2100 ram is most likely holding you back.
