ryzen 1600x build , my initial thoughts

ryzen 1600x- msi x370 pro carbon- corsair cmd16gx4m2b3000c15- xfx 480

1. does not like windows 7, 10 only i believe
2.. the memory, is the dominator platinum...its built like a tank
3. the memory, have read some say its for intel, but i saw on the corsair web page, its good for ryzen, though not in my msi list..
4. the memory, i got it running at 2667 mghz...will not run at 2900 mhz for some reason..i have not messed with anything other than choosing a speed in the bios...
5..amazon was suppose to send the 3200 mhz version,,not going to mess with it...satisfied with 2667mhz,
6. the system seems a lot quicker than my phenom II 1100 rig
7. tried to use the windows 10 from my phenom II 11000 rig....no go.....
8. I thought the 1600x box was light in weight...when I opened it..i said , dang,,no cooler....so I had to run to frys...got there 10 m befored they closed..got the thermaltake contac silent 12 cpu cooler, for am4...for $26 total...surprising, its keeps it fairly cool

Corsair Platinum...got to be the best built memory out there...when I took it out of the package,,i said WOW..THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE

Nice. I too was surprised that 1600x came with no cooler. Luckily someone here mentioned it and I was able to purchase a cooler and get it working.
