Anything to be worried about in buying round cables to connect my optical and floppy drives. I see on new egg the same basic cable can vary in price from $3.50-$7.00 depending on the manufacturer.

I usually buy Coolermaster, because I am a fan of their products, but I would feel comfortable using anything that Newegg sells.

For anything longer than 18" (IDE spec), I personally would buy better quality cables vs. cheap ones. Of course, better quality may not equal higher cost so you'll have to do a little bit more research to find which ones are quality cables.

if you're buying short cables it doesnt really matter. If you're going 24 inches or so buy antec cobras or a high quality cable or its speculated that you could get some data corruption.

In that instance, why not just stick with regular IDE cables?

With my home made clear acrylic case, I want a nice looking cable instead of those ugly flat IDE cables. They will have to be 24" long to get the job done so I guess I've got some shopping to do.
