My first project log! I'm living at my Mom's and somehow I ended up sprawling between two rooms, I have my bedroom and then the guest/computer room. I want to move totally into the computer room. I want to move all of my electronics into the closet and the desk I have in there now isn't that efficient (plus it's starting to fall apart) so that's the first thing I'm going to replace.
I also want to consolodate my entertainment center into the closet space
So I went to home depot and picked up some supplies, the tabletop is 3/4" plywood.
I'm using deck posts for the legs because they look kinda cool.
Here's the mitersaw that I rented from home depot, I love it! It even has a laser guide!
Here are the horizontal supports all cut out
Sorry for the jump, things seemed to be going bad so I didn't document, the screws did not want to go into the posts, it was rough going, I probably should of drilled guide holes but I don't have the right drill bit and I was impatient. Anyway, here's a shot of some extra support I installed, it's a little crooked but it isn't flush with the top so it won't affect the table top.
This is the end of day 1, I need to pick up some more wood, I'm going to add some support to the bottom of the legs and maybe about 5 inches down from the top supports just for asthetic reasons.
