I'll be upgrading my HTPC from a Phenom II 1090T to an AMD 8 core chip and new motherboard soon, and I'm wondering if I can move the 642L raid card and TR5M6G eSATA case with a 10TB array to the new computer? I'll be running the same OS (Windows 8.1 Pro) and the card to the new motherboard and I really don't want to loose the data.

Does anyone have any experience moving raid controllers and drives to another computer without losing the data?
 
Any hardware raid card should not care about the OS or care much that it switched to a different PC.

Edit: RocketRAID 642L looks like a Marvell based firmware raid card and not a true hardware raid.
