Quick story is I ordered an OCZ 600 watt ps which killed my X800 XT-PE. Here is the problem ATI no longer makes the PE version at all. So I have to wait up to 4 weeks for a repair or have them send me a 6800 ultra from xfx and bfg their choice. What is your guys thoughts.
 
Just have them send you the 6800U as long as you get what you payed for. How much did you pay for the X800XT PE?
 
I got it from Steve at compusa for 500 bux. So I am thinking it is a fair switch.
 
i would go for the 6800 ultra since u didnt pay all that much for it anyway. besides its better to have a new product then a repaired one. this is ofc imo tho. either way both cards are great.
 
Pretty much a far trade, if you can deal with the extreme noise and heat the 6800U will put out compared to the X800XT. You will end up like me and just watercooling it for the sake of noise.
 
I have already started putting together a DD ws. Glad I didnt order the water block for the x800 yet.
