I feel like Rip Van Winkle. I havn't paid much attention to the monitor market. Bought a 21" Sony CRT last year with my new computer and even then didn't pay much attention to the overall monitor market.

My Viewsonic 19" CRT on my second computer broke last week so I went looking for a new monitor. LCD's as far as the eye can see, hardly any CRTs (and no 21" Sony CRT in sight).

I took the plunge and got a Viewsonic vp201s. Very happy with it at $599 after rebate.

No point to this post, just wanted to voice my thoughts about my surprise with the disappering CRTs. May they RIP.
 
Disappearing? Refurb 21" Trinitrons can be had for a couple hundred if you hunt around a bit.
