While this has nothing to do with anything tech related, it is a sad day to find out that Brad Delp, the lead singer of Boston has passed away.

Brad Delp, the lead singer for the band Boston, was found dead Friday in his home in southern New Hampshire. He was 55.

Thanks to Eric Vaughan for the link.

Well I'm takin' my time, I'm just movin' along
You'll forget about me after I've been gone
And I take what I find, I don't want no more
It's just outside of your front door.

RIP!

Their 1st album stayed on my turntable for 2 years before anything else came out that sounded better.

Boston wouldn't have been the same without his high, clear vocals. I wore their first album out on cassette tape. It's one of the only albums for which I can say that.

Boston is my favorite band, and the news has completely depressed me.

RIP Brad.

My first Boston album was Third Stage, which I received as a prize for magazine sales in Junior High. Listened to that album and 'Boston' to death riding the bus to-and-from school. Also driving up and down Woodward Ave in Roseville/Detroit during the late '80's in my brother's Grand Prix with Boston cranked to full volume. Couldn't get into any clubs because I was too young, but still found plenty of trouble to get into. Their music is really ingrained into my memories as a teenager.

I was really looking forward to their tour this summer since I've never had the chance to see them perform live. Now I probably never will. It feels like my soul was cockpunched. Really. :(

The Brad Delp yelp was silenced way too young. Rest in Peace, man.

well..aint this a bitch....seems like all the good ones get taken from us at way to early in life...i remember listening to them when i was younger in Hyannis...R.I.P

He had an amazing vocal range. While some bands have had continued success after replacing singers (AC/DC and Iron Maiden come to mind), I don't see that Boston could ever be Boston again with anyone else. R.I.P., Brad. :(

:(

R.I.P. Brad...

This sucks... Boston was the soundtrack of my teen years... echoes of my youth...
