i have a mambox 256mb usb1 mp3 pen drive

-dropped it,

-it does not need power as it draws power from usb port and it needs a little aaa battery for the mp3 player, it does not power up either way.

-sometimes when i put it in my Pc(s) it will come up as un-recognised hardware or it will not be detected at all. altho drivers were previosuly installed for it on win98 and win xp.

-opeend it up, nothing is cracked

- is there way to restore/recover it?
- bought from ebay, guy wont reply
- no reply from manufacturer either
