I have decided to purchase an LCD monitor for PS3 gaming.

I've narrowed it down to either the 22inch BenQ or the 24 inch BenQ.

Of course I'd really like the 24 inch so I can have proper 1080p. But I've noticed that the 24 inch has a response time of 16ms, whereas the 22 inch has 5ms.

In terms of gaming, is there a big noticeable difference between 5ms and 16ms? Seeing as I've never owned an LCD monitor before, I have no real grasp over response time concept.

What I am saying/asking, is 5ms that much noticeably better that 16ms that I should purchase the 22 inch over the 24 inch and sacrifice full HD 1080p?

Please advise. Thanks a lot.

I've read some articles about the Dell 2007wfp (16ms response time) and they say it's good for gaming. So I wouldn't rule out a monitor due to having a 16 ms response time.

Although if Dell stated the GtG response time, it would only be 8 ms. I just read that the BenQ FP241W (that the one you're looking at?) is 16 ms black to black but only 6 ms gray to gray.

I'd guess the 24in would be fine for gaming but don't own one so can't say for sure.

The real world difference is near non existant,I have used all sorts of LCD's and own more then a few,all with different response times, all have been used for gaming in differing capacities. When you get below 12 to 16 ms its hard to tell the difference.
