So a little update on my Reserator XT trials and tribulations....

My goal was a solid gaming platform that was near SILENT. My cooling had peen air with Zalman 9700 and stock fan and heat sink on the gpu and northbridge/southbridge....I was runnin stable at 3.5 ghz at fsb 1333 with mem stock at 800 4-4-4-12...BUT, the system was pretty loud for a livingroom rig...

I am squared away now with a Extreme spirit 2 on the northbridge, 3 Silent Cat case fans, and an eVGA southbridge fan(all fans undervolted for less air but silent), Reserator XT is cooling the GPU and CPU.

The fan built into the WEGA HDTV makes more noise than my system....my hard drives are the only audible component from 5 ft away.

TEMPS: Under load (nTune) (I know, not the best)... CPU - 50c, System - 38c, GPU -55c

My northbridge is 66c per the BIOS

So...The Reserator XT is expensive but it is pretty, solid, quality build and though not the most powerfool watercooling option it works great for what I wanted.

I have a bunch of pics but I am not sure how to post them...let me know if anyhbody is interested.

I would say you are getting very good results from that unit. The Reserator XT is considered more of an entry level cooling product and uses average blocks. It is meant for stock cooling and not some one pushing 3.5ghz @ 1.4 volts.

I agree...I was hoping to just have a silent system and maybe OC to 3.2ghz IF I was lucky.

In any case I forgot to mention...true that about the cpu block that comes with the reserator xt...I almost bought a separate one but decided to give the stock one a chance. As far as the block for the 8800 I went with the Zalman ZM GWB8800 GTX....I really wasn't trying to keep it all Zalman, just worked out that way...used Zalman ZM STG1 thermal grease on everything too. ;)
